All kinds of gears are widely used in all walks of life.Among them,involute cylindrical gears are the most widely used transmission components,and they are also widely used in automotive,industrial,aerospace,instrumentation and automation fields.The reason why the involute cylindrical gear is widely used is that it has the advantages of smooth transmission process and large load-bearing capacity.Gear technology is also a symbol of a country's basic industrial level.The stronger the gear technology,the more developed the national industrial level,the stronger the comprehensive strength of the country.With the progress of the times and the development of scientific level,the application fields of involute gears are expanding constantly,and the application environment of involute gears is changing constantly.The corresponding requirements for gears are also put forward,which require not only large carrying capacity,but also fast transmission speed.In order to meet the new requirements of these aspects of gears,higher requirements are put forward for the design of gears.With the development of higher requirements,people are exploring different ways to improve the meshing performance of gears.The main method is to improve the performance of gears by modifying the gear teeth.After a long time of exploration,it is found that asymmetric involute cylindrical gears not only maintain the smooth meshing characteristics of involute cylindrical gears,but also improve the load-carrying capacity of asymmetric involute cylindrical gears.The value of asymmetric involute cylindrical gears is more and more obvious.Therefore,it is necessary to optimize the design of asymmetric involute cylindrical gears and improve their performance parameters.It is of great significance.Asymmetric gear is to modify the working face of the gear or the non-working face of the gear.It can modify both the working face and the non-working face of the gear.Because the meshing process of gear is very complex,the involute gear is modified reasonably,and the performance of the modified gear is analyzed.In this paper,the design and modification of involute cylindrical gear profile on non-working face are studied only.Based on the analysis and research of involute gear modification,the non-working face of involute gear is modified.According to coordinate transformation method and involute equation,the tooth profile modification equation of non-working face of involute gear is deduced by taking the rotation angle of non-working face as variable.According to the tooth profile equation,the gear model is established by Solidworks three-dimensional modeling software.According to the actual force in the gear meshing process,the gear meshing transient analysis is carried out by ANSYS Workbench,and the change curve is obtained by comparing the force changes of involute gears before and after modification.The influence of gear stress variation on gear profile rotation angle of different non-working faces is analyzed,which lays a foundation for gear modification research.
