As a main form of semi-rigid base,cement-stabilized crushed-stone base benefits inwithstanding the increasing transportation, especially in meeting the demands of the heavytraffic. However, the asphalt pavement with a cement-stabilized crushed-stone base is proneto cracks, which is generally concerned by the road researchers、the engineers andtechnicians. In this paper,on the base of the use of local raw materials, improving gradation、mixing mixed-agent (Fly-ash、Expansion agent and Anhydrous sodium sulfate) and othermeasures have been done to improve the pavement performance of cement-stabilizedcrushed-stone base, especially the crack resistance performance. Meanwhile, the pavementperformance of cement-stabilized crushed-stone mixtures with various mixed-agent,compared with that without admixtures are studied, such as mechanical properties, scourresistance, frost resistance and so on.Through the analysis of the shrinkage-cracking mechanism of the cement-stabilizedcrushed-stone base, related researches on the shrinkage characteristics of cement andmixed-agent stabilized crushed-stone were carried out, and the crack resistance ofcement-stabilized crushed-stone mixed with different content of mixed-agent were analyzedand compared. At the same time, the cracking resistance rule of cement-stabilizedcrushed-stone with mixed-agent was revealed by the analysis of theoretical and the SEMphotograph. In order to verify and apply the relevant research results, the experimental project wasconstructed in express highway from Saihantala to Baiyinchagan on base of the laboratorytest results in2010--2011,and follow-up observations have been doing. Furthermore all ofthese have studied the relevant research results in laboratory. These methods are benefit tothe field construction quality and the technology extension in improving crack resistance.
