| This paper mainly researched on the method to improve the crack resistance behavior of cement stabilized crushed stone. Based on theory of gradation design and scale of grain size, we carried on comprehensive tests of cement stabilized large crushed stone. It was verified that cement stabilized large crushed stone has higher compression strength and modulus of resilience, so its load carried capability is better than normal cement stabilized crushed stone. The former also has lower drying shrinkage and temperature shrinkage than the latter. So we can prove that cement stabilized crushed stone has obviously better crack resistance character.Based on the layered theory of pavement, the nonlinear FEM analysis was done to the semi-rigid pavement of different ages under different temperature and different water content. It is shown that the tension stress of cement stabilized large crushed stone base is less than the stress of ordinary graded base. Under the construction conditions, the effect of the temperature shrinkage is obvious. The declination of temperature on the pavement surface has less effect on the working conditions of base. The tension stress of base is increasing with the age of base enlarged.From the paper, it is verified that the crack resistance performances of cement stabilized large crushed stone are greatly improved. |
