The cement concrete pavement and the asphalt pavement are the two major types ofhighway and city road in China.With the development of transportation and the graduallygrowth of operation time, massive asphalt concrete highways built in early time are steppinginto the maintenance stage, and recycling of waste asphalt pavement materials have attractedincreasing attention. And as the constant promotion and application of cement concretepavement, the quality requirement of concrete material is becoming increasingly higher. Theconcrete should have a higher flexural strength and low modulus of elasticity in order to avoidthe early occurrence of cracks in the road construction process, just as Pavement materialsrequirements of the pre-stressed concrete pavement and cross-tensioned concrete pavement ofthe Ministry Western science and technology project. So for rigid pavements, improving theirbending strength and reducing the elastic modulus, will greatly improve performance of thecement concrete, reduce cracks, and extend pavement life. Starting with these two commontopics, this article discussed the influence of asphalt mixture powder on pavementperformance of cement concrete.This paper describes the working principle of crushing and screening equipment, in orderto analyze the waste asphalt mixture powder’s properties and its influence on cement concrete.First, the waste asphalt mixture powder ranged from0~3mm was smashed into powderparticle whose size is in0.6mm. Some of sand in cement concrete was replaced with thewaste asphalt mixture powder. Setting the proportion of waste powder in sand as the mainvariable in our experiments, we explore the best proportion of waste asphalt mixture powder.The factors affecting cement concrete mixed with mixture powder, such as, fineness andasphalt content of the asphalt mixture powder, and the ambient temperature, are alsoexamined.Through plentiful experiments, it showed that the waste asphalt mixture powder mixedwith15%of sand obviously improved the bending strength of cement concrete, besides, theelastic modulus decreased, and this conclusion has strong reference significance on theengineering practice. On the experimental basis, this paper presents the most favorable wasteasphalt mixture powder type and ambient temperature to improve cement concrete performance.
