In the damage items in existence of the highway, the rut take account for a large proportion.Making different kinds of restoration which is depending on the size of rutting destruction can makemaximum use of the limited conservation fund. This paper is mainly concerned on the restorationwith thin-layer overlay which is not suitable for single-layer micro-surfacing repairs where the rutdepth is (15-25mm).The internal stress and strain of the pavement structure arised dramatic changes under thecondition of overload and high temperature. Depending on the base of gradation with maximumdensity which is coming out with filling in step by step, explores the relationship between ratio offiller bitumen, effective bituminous thickness and high temperature stability. Depending on the baseof anti-continuous gradation (UTAC10), explores the difference of stability between completelygap-gradation and anti-continuous gradation. Directed against the factors (grade type, asphalt type,aggregate type) which influence the mixture properties, it conducted a test analysis, optimization theappropriate type of combination. Explores the differences of kinds of pavement performancebetween gradation with maximum density, anti-continuous gradation and common thin layers, itcomes out that it is with a better price/performance to make thin-layer restoration withanti-continuous gradation.And also it makes up the the appropriate grade range.Making analysis of the common control indicators effectiveness by adding additive to the basicasphalt, and determined the optimal amount from the aspect of economy and improvement. Makinganalysis of the mixing and forming temperature under the condition of additive,concluding theaffection on mixture parameters. Making analysis of high-temperature, water-stability,low-temperature performance improved by kinds of outer agents on the base of gap-graded thin-layer,and make the optimality choice. And also analyzing the improved affection between kinds ofgrade(suspending-density, maximum density, anti-continuous gradation).Attempting to start dynamicstability test by improving the test temperature and increase ground pressure, draw the conclusionthat SBS modified asphalt mixture can be instead. Through the observation of the test road, thepavement is not only beautiful but also with a well surface features after the restoration.
