To urban road, the intersection is an important part of urban road system. Also, theintersection plays a very important role in the convergence of roads, the capacity of which, toa large extent, determines or restricts the traffic capacity of the whole city road network. Inthe current situation, the city intersection is often the bottleneck of the urban road networkand becomes the focus of the network planning, construction and transformation. With thedevelopment of the Wenjiang city and the surrounding areas, the density of the urban roadnetwork is becoming larger and larger. As a result, different kinds of crosses are formed,added with the growing number of the private cars, the intersection has become the pluggingpoint of the traffic capacity and the resource of the traffic accidents.Intersection traffic control is the key to solve the urban traffic problems. To this respect,our country has done some research at present. However, there is not mature theory andmethod until now. This paper studies the traffic optimization measures of the planeintersection. Besides, through the theoretical summary and analysis and the investigation,calculation and simulation of a specific case, we researched the traffic organizationoptimization method of the plane intersection of the urban, suburb areas of Wenjiang and thetownship road.Taking an intersection as a example and using the microscopic traffic simulationsoftware Vissim, this paper designs the simulation and analysis method combined with theresearch results. Furthermore, selects the suitable evaluation indexes in the simulation systemand gets the results if the evaluation indexes by running the established simulation schemes.
