Improvement Of Expressway Safety Facilities In Shaanxi Province

With the take-off of China’s economic construction, as an important support foreconomic development, road construction and road transport is also rapid development, and ahigher demand on the transportation is proposed, in order to give the masses more secure,smooth, fast, comfortable, harmonious and efficient high-speed channel. Maximizing thefunction of the traffic safety facilities, can protect the highway traffic safety, healthy and rapiddevelopment, improve road safety in China to effectively protect life and property safety ofroad users, and improve the level of road service. Therefore, in the social environment ofpeople-oriented, car-oriented, and energy saving, a reasonable security facility is necessaryand urgent to optimization and improvement of road.This paper analyzes the current situation of Shaanxi security facilities, the principle ofthe design of safety facilities, finishing the proposed design elements of the safety facilities,and the Shaanxi Provincial Expressway, for social and economic development, highwaytraffic, rapid growth and people-oriented car-oriented, energy saving social environmentsuitable for the application of the Shaanxi highway safety facilities improvement program.Design guidance for Highway Safety facilities in Shaanxi Province, and provide a referencefor the technical problems in other provinces highway safety facilities design.Firstly, the status of Shaanxi highway traffic signs was studied. And defects andproblems were analyzed. Traffic signs, structure type and traffic marking set position, the setmethods to improve the program, and proposed materials selection corrosion treatmentmethods of traffic signs and marking.Secondly, the current situation of Shaanxi highway safety barriers, discusses the flawsand problems, start efforts to solve the problem of the roadbed and structures of the transitionsection from the local design of the fence, the problem of strengthen section, the securityfence structure, guardrail end Ministry of handling the problem, the minimum set length ofroad side barrier, fence to allow a high degree of problem, so as to enhance traffic safety,passive defense, and put forward two corrosion treatment programs of steel plate guardrails.Finally, the current situation of other security facilities, such as anti-glare panels, fence,delineator and buffer facilities, were researched. And the highway traffic safety improvement programs for Shaanxi Province are proposed according their characteristics.
