With the change of China’s housing environment, residential area has become themain component of our way of living environment, real estate developers began buildinglarge-scale residential districts to meet the housing needs of urban residents. Livingenvironment in urban space environment accounted for a big part of people’s daily lives;residential environment is the key factor affecting the quality of residents’ life. Residentialareas, with the constant development of urban housing showed a new adaptation forChina’s current living form. The reaction of our residents’ living environment shifted fromthe pursuit of the number of the urgent needs to the need a better environment. Thischange to our living environment concerning shaping landscape areas has a new insightand understanding. The country’s rapid economic development, helped in providingpeople with a comfortable, safe, and emotional interactive living residential environment,with immediate practical significance. Emotional design concept was first put forward inthe field of industrial design “Product design research”. However, has been quietlyemotional concept design to penetrate to the environment. Designers’ work outcome,either the goods or the landscape environment, aimed at serving the people. As a result,the emotional bond between people and the environment of research will undoubtedlybecome the base to be considered for performing such design.This article about the emotional landscape of the environment for living quarters andliving quarters decisive role in the emotional impact on people is to describe both positiveand negative aspects of residential living environment and people’s emotional behavior inregard to environmental psychology science. We searched the perspective view landscapeenvironment for living quarters including an interdisciplinary analysis of proposedresidential area of the emotional landscape and environmental design principles andmethods, the living quarters of the space division, road organizations, detailed landscapenodes and other aspects of the emotional design methods and counter measures. Wesearched and analyzed an actual project to verify the conclusions.To summarize our analysis of emotional design of residential areas, we can say thatin addition to our present prevalent design in urban residential areas, some issues were raised with the initial meaning of the emotional living quarters regarding standardizationof the characteristics and criteria of the proposed design method which can beimplemented with proposed emotional landscape environmental design. The livingquarters of the emotional landscape environment was an addition on our way for the aimto provide the residents with a human friendly, dynamic exchanges and ability to enhancethe communication in between people, within a comfortable and safe living environment.
