Since the20th century, with the continuous growth of the energy consumption, fusiongradually becomes one of the best ways for people to solve the energy crisis. At present,tokamak device has led the trend in the field of fusion research. As the InternationalThermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) plan is making progress. ITER drew up thecontrol system standard, CODAC (Control of Data Access and Communication) standard,which is in accordance with the special environment of the fusion experiments. J-TEXT isan medium tokamak device, built in Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Inorder to standardize the management of fusion experiment control, improve the existingcontrol system performance and finish the experiment project better, we need to build aperfect J-TEXT CODAC control system platform in the base of CODAC standard. Whilethe Interlock&Safety System is an important part of the J-TEXT CODAC System.We decided to develop J-TEXT Interlock&Safety System, which is a systemspecified taking protect concept as the core, in order to protect the experiment personneloccupational safety and instrument&equipment property safety. In this paper, through thedesign principle, general structure, device standards and operating mechanism, weintroduced the two layers structure system, based on the Central Interlock&Safety System(CISS) and Plant Interlock&Safety System (PISS). Meanwhile, we completed the overallscheme and the preliminary design of the J-TEXT Interlock&Safety System. This paperinitially completed the design and implementation of Power Supply Interlock&SafetySystem, which adopted new PAC as its hardware platform, NI Compact RIO, with FPGA incore, and graphic programming language LabVIEW as its software platform. Thiscombination form accorded with the selection standard of fast controller in CODAC designstandard, and had a significant advantage in the control response speed.We developed the Power Supply Interlock&Safety System, taking J-TEXT powersupply as an example, not only completed the development process of the Interlock& Safety System, but also provided a guide for the subsequent development and perfection ofthe system. Power Supply Interlock&Safety System used shared variables to realize thecommunication mode in the base of EPICS CA. This mode makes it keep better compatiblewith EPICS, and keep good data communication performance. In addition, Interlock&Safety System ensured the reliability of the signal transmission by using fiber transmission.At present, the fiber transmission drive modules can keep good work performance in highfrequency signal source with1MHz above, through the performance test.
