Intercooled cycle gas turbine increases an intercooler in the simplegas turbine between the low-pressure compressor and the high one,making the temperature of the air which enters the high-pressurecompressor lower, also improving the characteristics in variable workingconditions and reducing the fuel consumption. Among them, the key partis the intercooler. Its volume and quality has a greatest influence on themobility and the effective load of the gas turbine. Therefore, theoptimization design of the intercooler and control system research is veryimportant.This article contrasts the LSM-100and WR-21series advanced gasturbine performance and intercooler design through the gas turbine datacollecting from domestic and international. Then use the efficiency-heattransfer unit number method design the intercooler model bysummarizing the key steps and experience formula to be ready formodeling and control. In addition, design a multi-objective optimizationmodel which could make the intercooler core body quality minimumwhile the efficiency and hot side pressure drop data are in the reasonablescope. In the optimization method, combine the advanced algorithm withthe intercooler performance procedure, choose the improved Alopexalgorithm as the final gas turbine optimization method, which has the bestlocal and global optimization ability. Formulate the visual interface toease the intercooler optimization process. This friendly interface is easyto expand and operate.With the optimal design parameters and the gas turbine control target,make the dynamic modeling of the heat exchanger using the lumped parameter method. Program the model with MATLAB/S-Function andestablished the simulation example in different inlet conditions. Get thetransfer function with the simulation data to system identification by leastsquare method. Then do some control simulation with simple PID andSmith predictive controller. Finally put forward the control and monitorsystem of the intercooler. Derivation the moisture condensation processand research the control strategy to prepare for the whole control of thegas turbine.
