| With the development of urban economy, urban traffic problem becomemore and more serious, public transportation is the main means to solve thecontradiction between supply and demand of urban traffic. In recent years wepay more attention to public traffic, public transportation way such as bus andrail transportation got a great development. But the existing publictransportation system cannot provide the door to door serve and cannot satisfythe demand of urban resident short-distance travel. These defect condition theattraction of public transportation system so resident do not have strong will touse it, our public transit trip contribution rate is far below the level of developedcountries. Public bike is a new model of public transportation system and itdevelops very fast. Its technical and economic characteristics can meet thedemand of short-distance travel. It can be conducive to construct a perfect publictransportation system and increase its attraction. This paper firstly introduce the concept of short-distance travel of urbanresidents, sum up and summarize its characteristic, then analyze the influencefactors for choosing traffic model of short-distance travel. Secondly throughsummarizing the features of three main public traffic models, analyze theiradaptability to short-distance travel, and expound the defects of existing publictransportation system. Then introduce the definition of the public bike andanalyze its own characteristics and advantages to traditional private bike,clearing its functional orientation in city traffic system. According to the theory of disaggregate model,create a utility function of short-distance, use the software SPSS to calibratingthe parameter and analyzing the affection degree of several factors.
