In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s economic, society have huge andgrowing demand towards the logistics industry. And the scale and efficiency of the logisticsindustry has been vigorously expanding. The rapid development of the logistics industryrequires the management and service means of this industry to improve. the concept ofmodern logistics should be uses to develop the logistics to replace the traditional theory of thelogistics. The booming of radio frequency identification technology provides a new oftechnology for the logistic enterprises to in real-time monitor the transport of goods. Thevehicle terminal system based on modern information technology to integrate a variety ofinformation technology can provide accurate and timely information which can be connectedto each node in the information flow of goods for the logistics companies. This system plays avery important role in the logistics system.Firstly, we study the global positioning technology (GPS), wireless data transmissiontechnology (GSM/GPRS) and radio frequency identification technology (RFID), analyzingthe function of each module of the vehicle terminal and selection, designing the generalscheme of the vehicle terminal system based on modern information technology.Secondly, the development of the vehicle terminal system is completed. In the Hardwareside, the main module circuit has been designed in the use of Protel DXP circuit design tool, for instance, the microprocessor of STM32F103C8T6, G591module, GTM900-B module,SYC980reader module, debugging interface and power supply. Producing the circuit boardsand solering the electronic components, we have fulfilled the development of the vehicleterminal hardware platform. On the software side, the main program and each subroutine ofthe vehicle terminal has been designed in the use of the Real View MDK integrateddevelopment environment and modular thinking. The system’s software is debugged in thevehicle terminal hardware platform. The final system software development has beencompleted. Finally, the vehicle terminal system based on modern information technology has beenintegratedly tested. The test results meet the expected demand. The Vehicle terminal canquickly obtain location.information and correctly identify the electronic tags, sending thereceipt information to the management center, receiving the command form the managementcenter and returning information in a timely manner according to the command.
