Switched reluctance motor (SRM) has many excellent characteristic, such as simplestructure, reliable operation of motor system, high efficiency, wide range of speed and soon. Especially the rotor is made of silicon with no windings or magnet, so that SRM canwithstand a great centrifugal force. In high-speed applications SRM has great advantage. Inthe recent twenty years, SRM is always one of the hot topic researches in electric drive fieldboth at home and abroad. But for some emerging fields of application, it is not in-depthresearch. This thesis is to design and develop a system based on the requirements of SRD,using SRM at Food Blender. And do some work at its key technology research.First, this paper introduces the development of SRM both at home and abroad. And then,analyzes the characteristics and its electro-magnetic principle of the SRM in details. Thepaper selects a suitable control system for SRD based on the food blender designrequirements.Then, the paper simulates the system by using matlab/Simulink to verify the feasibilityof the scheme. The hardware design is using a new single chip microcomputer controllerC8051F310as the core and include the single chip minimize system, power transducer anddrive circuit, position detection circuit, voltage electric current detection circuit, auxiliarypower supply circuit, etc. The control software was programmed and gives the main programand the procedure flow chart. The modular program makes the code universal and readable.Finally, the experiment is carried out and the results show that the system is simple andhas a good performance, the expected goals have been achieved.It is helpful for SRM usingin new fields.
