Abstract/Summary:
The solid ferromagnetic material has magnetostrictive effect in the magnetic field. Thevolume of the magnetic fluid can be changed in the external gradient magnetic field because ofits apparent density and the internal pressure intensity were changed. So, the magnetic liquidmagnetostrictive effect is produced. In this paper, the magnetostrictive effect theory of magnetic fluid was analyzed. Theoreticalcalculation expression of magnetostrictive strain was derived. The magnetic field which wasgenerated by the plurality of coaxial coils was analyzed on the basis of a single coil magneticfield. The parameters of the coil were calculated. Experiment installation was designed, including the size of the coil bobbins, diameter of wire, and the total number of turns. Microdisplacement of magnetostrictive effect was measured by the capillary tube amplificationprinciple. The experimental results compared with theoretical. Experiments prove that the effectis better. Finally it shows that the magnetostrictive effect of magnetic fluid will be produced inthe variable gradient magnetic field. The amount of magnetostrictive micro-displacement and theinput current has a good linear relationship. It has important significance to expanding the rangeof applied research of magnetic fluid.
