Abstract/Summary:
Short-circuit transient current testing platform is mainly used in theenvironmental and life testing of circuit breakers. With so many parameters and highprecision controlling, the calibration method has been a difficult issue.This article intends to focus on solving the calibration method of the transientshort-circuit current test platform:(1)The calibration of the voltage: the short-circuit transient current test platformcan output low voltage (generally <1kV) continuously, but we cannot determine thegood stability of the voltage on the breakers with the impact of a number ofhigh-current. So in the future design, we will not only try our best to improve thecalibration accuracy to meet the requirements, and show the waveform during theentire experiment.(2)The calibration of the temperature acquisition system: the short-circuittransient current test platform has multi-channel temperature acquisition system, thereare two temperature measuring channels placed in the platform. The first ones aredirectly connected into the collector channel. The second ones have thermocoupleprobe at each temperature channel. We will choose two different calibration systemsto calibrate them, which is always ignored by other calibration facilities.(3)The calibration of the transient current: the short-circuit transient currenttesting platform can output100kA high current in <0.6s. This calibration project is thekey difficulty that a lot of domestic metering calibration facilities cannot complete. Inthis article we will try two different ways to explore: one is to string the standardresistance into the current loop displaying by the oscilloscope; another is to string theRogowski Coil (100kA/V) reading by the frequency response analyzer. I will recordthe results of two tests; analyze the various interferences encountered in the test;select one of the most appropriate methods as the last calibration program, and thendesign the traceable method of the entire calibration equipment.
