With the enormous advantage of intelligent electric grid, construction featuresthe informationization, automation, digitalization and interaction. Development ofstrong intelligence electric grid has become the strategic goal of state grid corporation.Power transmission line, as the physical transmission of electricity, is the basicinsurance and essential component of the strong intelligence electric grid, and hasfeatures of wide distribution, complicated operating condition, being vulnerable to thenatural environment and destruction of external force, and big workload on inspectionand maintenance. Therefore, at the preliminary stage of engineering project designand construction, guided by the development target of intelligent electric grid, weshould make use of the advanced communication, information and controllingtechnology to meet the requirement of the insurance of line safety.Effected by the natural conditions, various natural disaster would probably takeplace during the operating process of installing electricity transmission lines, wavingbeing one of the most serious. Recently, waving of lines has spread from the south ofHunan to the north of Jilin, which formed a waving zone. The wide range, mightypower and great loss of the waving is seldom found in our history. The papertheoretically researches on the formation of waving and proposes anti-wavingmeasures based on the research of lines mechanics.Combined with the previous anti-waving design and experience of onlinemonitoring system, this paper aims to find the appropriate anti-waving measures indifferent circumstances through the study on the basic theory of the waving ofelectricity transmission lines and a comparison between the anti-waving mechanismand measures.This paper systematically concludes the law and characteristics of lines waving,the sign of anti-waving ability of lines at different levels of voltage, the situation andexisting problems of present anti-waving work as well as the measures and proposalof waving treatment, so as to make a further analysis on the experiment research.
