In this paper, in the context of the manufacturing of anelectromechanical actuator, the application of variable structure controlon the electromechanical actuator was studied, aiming to resolveproblems of poor anti-interference ability, the sensitivity of parameterperturbations and small load capacity, when using general linear controlmethods.Firstly, according to the application requirements of theelectromechanical actuator and the development of related technologies,technical solution of the electromechanical actuator was researched anddesigned. And a mathematical model of the various components and theelectromechanical actuator on the basis of the technical solution wasestablished. These laid the foundation for system simulation and controlalgorithm design.Meanwhile, in order to improve the robustness of theelectromechanical actuator, according to the mathematical model of theelectromechanical actuator, variable structure control algorithm wasleaded into the electromechanical actuator. The variable structure controlalgorithm based on exponential approach law was designed. Continuoussign function method was used to reduce the chattering of the system.Simulation results showed that the electromechanical actuator usingvariable structure control algorithm has stronger load capacity and betterrobustness to parameter perturbations.Finally, for testing the actual performance of the electromechanicalactuator based on variable structure control, principle prototype wasdeveloped. The problem of variable structure control algorithm on theelectromechanical actuator was solved, and a variety of environmentaltests were conducted. Experimental results show that in the condition of elastic load, the electromechanical actuator using variable structurecontrol algorithm has a smaller steady state error and a better ability toadapt to the inaccuracy of the model. The experiments verify theconclusion of the simulations.
