The paper first introduced the close relationship between the developmentof Chinese economy and construction of electric power grid. The gridconstruction needs huge investment and budget. Both of these and the biddingprocurement of materials price propose the demand for forecasting thematericals price. Then it comes to the necessary establishment of materialprice model of power transmission construction in power system.Based on the meaning of the price model, the paper introduced theclassification of power supplies. Power supplies are mainly divided into twoparts. Power cable and transformers are the most important materials.Drawing on the power load prediction methods and characteristics, wesummary the same ones of power material price’ s. Empirical predictionmethod and the mathematical modeling method are commonly used at present.Considering the mathematical medeling method can be quantified bycalculating objectively, we prefer the latter to be the final method.Through the analysis of practical application case model in the electricpower company and summary on the main power transmission materialsproportion, the paper concluded three characteristics of materials which aresuitable for building price model. The ratio of raw materials is simple andclear. The effects of raw materials and the price of raw materials changesgreatly. Through the application of Regression method for the forecast andcost prediction method of mathematical medeling method, combined withproduction data, then it formed the price modeling scheme.According to the former two price modeling scheme, the paperestablished two power price models. After comparing the two models, we chose the Regression method for the forecast which is more suitable for thereality. Comparing of modeling methods and actual production data, the paperverified the reliability of the price model.At the end of the whole words, the paper made some practicalapplication in Electric power enterprise strategic framework procurement andBudget estimate. After summing up the research methods and results of theprice model, the paper proposed the future development of the price model inlife-cycle cost method.
