This paper, which focused on residential landscape, analysed the texts of511estate online advertisements and491advertising images in a big website of Hefei. After that, research made a compare analysis of the awareness for landscape between land developers, designers and occupants based on questionnaire survey. Combined with those research results, the paper figure out the developer’s concerns of residential landscape and analysed the condition and potential problems of residential landscape.There are3section of the paper’s main body. First of all, based on the advertising texts, research classified and studied the residential landscape elements by using the method of semantic ontology analysis. The Residential landscape semantic structure were established to find the developer’s concerns of residential landscape. Secondly, based on the advertising images, research analysed the characteristics of residential landscape furtherly. At last,3sets of questionnaire were designed for developers, designers and occupants to find the gap of the awareness for residential landscape between them. Research found some gaps in folloing aspects:neighboring enviroment of residential district, waterscape, green space, square, color of landscape, landscape facilities, people’s behavior in residential landscape, ecological design and so on. This research offered some proposal and guidance for residential landscape development and design in the future.
