Eectronic control high pressure common rail injection systems(CR), which can controlthe injection process highly flexible, have become a trend of injection system of diesel engine.Based on cummins common rail diesel, the electronic control unit has been designed,including hardware and software.Based on the study of electronic control system and control principle, hardware andsoftware conditions of the electronic control unit (ECU) was cleared. Bansed on injectionsystem and sensor-specific configuration, The overall structure of hardware and software ofthe electronic control unit was made out.Selecting MC9S12XEP100Single-chip computer as the main control chip, and under theinterface needs between main control chip and perimeter device, signal-input condition circuit,electromagnetic valve drive circuit, and power management circuit etc, has been designed.under the function and real-time need, controlled software is divided into for functionalmodules,including initialization module, rail pressure control module, injection control, canbus communication module.Finally, the test of ECU has been carried out and the results show that the basal functionsof ECU are achieved. It can acquire signals from sensors,communicate with PC, driveelectromagnetic valve, closed-loop control of rotation speed, and adjustment of injectionadvance angle.
