Based on acoustic positioning system, the signal processing software of the underwateracoustic measurement system is designed and realized in this dissertation. The system dealswith the signal sent by cooperation sound source, the frequency, amplitude, delay, pulse width,variance of instantaneous frequency and other important parameters of the signal areestimated. The pulse of direct path is selected among detected pulses, and the time delay isused to real-time estimate the azimuth and distance of the goal.To detect signal and estimation the parameter, adaptive Notch filter is used to improvesignal-to-noise ratio, and extract the instantaneous frequency and envelope of signal. Theenergy and width detector are used to detect pulse signal, and estimate the arrival time ofsignal. To reduce the problem of pulse-interfere and frequency leak between near channels,the Variance of Instantaneous Frequency Detector (VIFD) is employed. To reduce the missprobability results from signal opposite-phase stacking in acoustic coherent multi-pathchannels, an algorithm of detecting signal is improved. The method of separating group andopening window is used to discard some pulses of the reflections path. The way of pulse"quality factors" weighted is applied to select the pulse of direct path based on the rules ofsignal transmitting in the channels, the azimuth and distance of goal are estimated usingalgorithm of spherical intersection and hypoid intersection. The results of simulation andlaboratory debugging show that the algorithm is effective feasible.The signal detection and parameter estimation, pulse selected, the expert system andpositioning algorithm are all through simulation with MATLAB, and the signal processingengineering application software using for measuring system are designed and debugged. Thedesign and realization of every functional module about the software is discussed in thedissertation, the management and allocations of DSP resource and the communicationbetween DSP and ARM is also introduced. The algorithm is proved to be robust and effectiveby trial in Lake.
