The all-digital B-mode ultrasonic detector is a kind of diagnostic equipment which is basedon ultrasound imaging technology, as a painless, non-invasive, convenient, intuitive andeffective inspection method, it is widely used in clinical examination of various medicalinstitutions. With the rapid development of computer technology and its application in the fieldof ultrasound diagnosis, ultrasound diagnostic techniques is increasingly holding together withcomputer technology, and the communication interface module of system is the key to connectB-ultrasound with general PC. In a number of bus technology, the USB2.0bus provides us agood choice to structure our communication interface with its advantages, such as low-cost,high-speed and small size.First of all, this paper summarizes the application characteristics and development trends ofB-ultrasound diagnosis, describes and compares several communication interface bus technologyof B-ultrasound diagnostic system, points out the advantages and development prospects of theUSB2.0bus.Secondly, this paper introduces the working principle and basic system architecture of theB-mode ultrasonic detector, then basically analyses the architecture and features of USB2.0standard, research the device descriptor, request command, data transfer mechanism of USB2.0standard, implements the hardware circuit of system’s communication interface with the USBhost chip of Cypress’s CY7C68013A.Software design and implementation of B-ultrasound system’s communication interface isthe most important port of the paper, including the following things: the development of thechip’s firmware, the development of interface devices’ windows driver, the design of thecommunication program between PC and CY7C68013, the design of the image analysis and testprogram. This paper implements the chip firmware and windows driver based on the frameworkof firmware and general driver provided by Cypress. This paper completes the function of bulkread of image data and bulk write of system parameters with the device communication program. This paper completes the function of storage, analysis and display of image data with our imageanalysis and test program.Finally, this paper makes a series of tests to the system’s USB2.0interface. The results oftests prove that this USB2.0communication interface can fully meet the performancerequirements of B-ultrasound system for the communication interface device.
