The Optimization And Simulation Of Intake System For The FSAE Racing Based On Intake Limiting

This design is for our school in2012FSAE race engine optimization design of the intake pipe length. This paper describes the system of the engine intake resonator basic principles, and depicts the research and development status of the engine intake system in brief. The optimal design with advanced engine performance analysis software GT-POWER, established a simulation model of the engine and calculated five dynamic properties of program simulation for the engine intake manifold on the longer length of10%,20%,30%and10%shortening20%, analysed the changes in the intake manifold length on performance of engine power and its laws.The paper also made a comparative analysis of the ation of the dynamic performance before and after install the throttle on the engine,and pointed out a clear direction for the follow-up work of optimal design of the FSAE team and recommended the improvement.
