The structure of Hybrid Electric Vehicle which includes a number ofsubsystems is complex. To make sure that HEV can work well, large amountof data transmission and exchange is needed among all the subsystems.Distributed control which is based on CAN bus is an ideal way to achievecooperative control of multiple subsystem. So,CAN bus has been widely usedin HEV. The topic is under the background of "863" joint commitment by ourschool and an Automobile Company cooperation, Researching for NetworkData Communication in HEV Powertrain Based on CAN.Firstly,on the basis of introducing common scheduling algorithm ofNetwork Control System, for there are many messages in the CAN Bus andcan’t be assigned a unique priority for each message, the deadline partitionmethod has been improved to method of tolerance gradually increasing whichlay the foundation for reserch of data communication.Secondly, CAN bus communication network model of HEV powertrainhas been established using the toolbox of Matlab/Truetime, the simulationhas been done by the Rate Monotonic Algorithm and Mixed TrafficScheduling Algorithm in order, and we can understand the situation ofnetwork communication by observing the network scheduling diagram ofsimulation. Finally, to a hardware in the loop system of CAN bus communication canbe established by dSPACE software and hardware, then respectively verify thepowertrain network communication when using the Rate Monotonic Algorithmand Mixed Traffic Scheduling Algorithm. It is concluded that the CAN buswith Mixed Traffic Scheduling Algorithm is more stable and reliable than RateMonotonic Algorithm, and is normal to finish the work of data communicationand meet the real-time control requirements of hybrid vehicle.
