A Research On Traffic Space Design In The Commercial Complex

Traffic space plays a significant role in the commercial complex. All the functional space in the commercial complex is open, and combined with various systems, offering comprehensive experience for customers. Thus traffic space in commercial complex is more complicated than those in other buildings. The commercial architecture form is transforming from simply shopping to complex function:shopping combined with office, residence and recreation. Along with this transformation, the traffic space accepted affections from all the functional space, and turned into a comprehensive space based on traffic use. In the mean time, as the basic frame of the commercial complex, traffic space critically affects the organization of all the functional space. Thus the traffic space is necessarily to be sophisticatedly designed, guiding different flow with different needs to corresponding space. And consequently the success of commercial complex depends on the rationality of its traffic space.Considering the importance of traffic space in the commercial complex, this dissertation will analyze itself and relevant building inner space, urban open space and urban traffic space. This dissertation assigns the emphasis on the traffic connection and space permeation between building inner and outer space. In the mean time, this dissertation also take another part of analysis into account, which concerns the best way to organize inner space through traffic space, in order to let the architecture function develop its biggest benefits.
