Global fossil fuel will be exhausted in21st century. Transportation sector is a big consumer of fossil fuel, especially refrigerated transportation which consumes more energy than normal temperate transportation. At present, because of being able to complete "door to door" and flexible transportation and more conveying efficiency, multi-temperature vehicle become more and more extensive in highway refrigerated transportation.In this paper, a new type multi-temperate vehicle is tested and simulate researched.First, on the basis of refrigerated vehicle status in China, including production materials and technology, analysis of energy consumption and introduction of multi-temperature refrigerated vehicle and so on, energy saving, environmental protection, heavy type in long distance transport and light type, multispecies in short distance transport are the current of refrigerated vehicle development. Rising of multi-temperature refrigerated vehicle is the inexorable trend.Second, the multi-temperature vehicle would be tested, including watertight test, airtight test, heat leakage test and temperature adjustment test. The result of the test show that water tightness, air tightness and performance of heat leakage are fine,but refrigerating capacity of refrigerator unable to undertake cooling of the body. Thermal performance parameters were able to obtain in order to optimize the thermal performance.Then, the researcher found that refrigerating output of refrigeration unit fail to glut refrigeration requirement of the vehicle. Calculation method of cooling load at present is mainly base on steady heat transfer calculation or experiential arithmetic which lack scientificalness and objectivity. In this paper, cooling load will be re-calculated by theory of instability thermal process in building, theory of cooling load in refrigeration storage and calculation of air conditioned coach cooling load and so on. This method is able to provide a reference for lectotype of refrigerated unit.At last, some heat leakage tests in consideration of door with plastic curtain and with nothing during door opening are done by researcher and theoretical analysis about the tests is done. Comparing the vehicle door which has plastic curtain and which hasn’t, the saving of energy up to30%. Furthermore, the model of air curtain with different wind velocity is build by CFD. The simulation show that6m/s is the best velocity for heat insulation when the width of air curtain is10cm and air outlet vertically. Find out the most efficiency way to reduce heat leakage compare these three situations.Above-mentioned theory and research will provide some references for optimizing the thermal performance of multi-temperature vehicle.
