Along with the progress of submarine mute technology and ocean survey, the demands of underwater acoustic transducers are much higher than before, and which is the reason why low-frequency, high power and small size is an important direction of underwater acoustic transducers. Janus-Helmholtz is composed of Janus transducer and Helmholtz resonance. It’s a low frequency sound transducer that with small size.Equivalent circuit method and finite element method are used to analyze Janus-Helmholtz transducers. Analyze the structure size on resonance frequency influence. Calculate the conductance, emission voltage response and acoustical characteristic of the transducer. Make the structure size optimization. Finally, the prototype is manufactured according to the conclusions of optimization analysis, and the impedance characteristic and transmitting voltage response are measured in the pool. The actual measurement can be used within Helmholtz resonance frequency597Hz with voltage response136dB.The result shows that the designed transducer is achieved with its mission and the experimental results were well coincide with calculated conclusions.
