The body as one of the four major automobile assemblies, plays an important role in the new cardesign and development process. However, the body has a thin material, complex shape, bigstructure, and security requirements of characteristics, destined to the development process isone of the most important part of the vehicle development process. Research body designtechnology has an important economic value and application value.Analyzed the body has a series of characteristics, compared to the advantages of areverse scan instrument, the eventual adoption of the three-dimensional scanning gratingthree-dimensional scanner for scanning tools on the body, the body of the point cloud data,through the coordinate transformation, the point cloud streamline to get the right point clouddata, and discuss the merging of multi-view point cloud data, data reduction, and outcomeevaluation. The point cloud data through the CATIA software after initial CAD model of thebody.The CAD model is Discretized by finite element pre-processing software on the CADmodel, and then get the finite element mesh of the body, and discusses the role of differentfinite elements, and finally select the right type of grid connection element different partsand assemblies to connect. And in the finite element analysis on boundary conditions werediscussed.When pre-process is complete the finite element model is sent to different solver tosolve. The final analysis of the body in the free state of the modals and the acoustic modals;strength of right front wheel and rear left wheel are raised150mm condition; torsionalstiffness; full frontal crash performance in50km/h speed. Through the finite element analysisfor the prediction of body performance, and used to replace part of experiment analysis.Finally, the analysis results to guide the vehicle body design to improve the quality of body.The thesis research combine reverse engineering with CAE technologies to achieve thecar body design and redesign, at last a similar appearance with the car of a higher marketshare is abtained.and its performance has exceeded the target vehicle, efficient, high-qualitylow-cost design, and ultimately achieve the purpose of product design and innovation.
