Although great breakthrough has been made in architectural design and construction technology along with national construction and the continually developing of science and technology, some technical challenge and problem have been increasingly visualized especially with the emerging in large numbers of large-scale or super-long construction. Few or no expansion joint are designed in these constructions according to their function, which made the super-long reinforced concrete structure increasing day by day. Much more crack may come into being in super-long reinforced concrete structure, if temperature deformation, contraction deformation of material and their effect are not improper handled in structure design. Particularly, water and seepage proof level is higher for large-scale basement structure than that of common structure. If improper design and construction treatment are adopted, harmful crack, basement seepage, concrete cover spalling, steel reinforcement corrosion and concrete carbonation may occur, which would ultimately result in decrease of structural durability or affect serviceability of structures in extreme cases.The cause of concrete crack and cracking treatment measures presents in this thesis. Based on an engineering case, the use of micro-expansive concrete, setting expansion reinforcement band together with other traditional design and construction measures are adopted. These measures would prevent cracking, improve the functional layout of basement structure and improve economic efficiency. The measures can be referenced by similar engineering.
