Solar Simulator is a type of indoor artificial light source device, which simulates solar radiation characteristics testing or calibration of all kinds of air quality.It’s also the main equipment that detecting photovoltaic products and their components. The solar simulator of output diverging light of full spectrum discussed is used to provide solar spectral distribution, stability, uniformity during testing photovoltaic products characteristics and thermal cycling.Based on the research of optical system of solar simulators, a scheme of the optical system is proposed. including high pressure short arc Xe-lamp. ellipsoidal condenser, integrator and optical filters. In view of the various optical elements are analyzed, and then the designing parameters of optical elements are put forward. This paper discusses the impact factors and adjusting measures of the solar simulator performance index. Finally, the actual test showed that the irradiation non-uniformity≤±10%. radiation stability≤±5%/h, and the spectral irradiance distribution match the solar spectrum AM1.5(matching error≤±20%).
