With the increasing depletion of the coal, oil, natural gas and other fossil resourcesand the increasing environmental pollution, Pursuit of a clean, non-polluting,sustainable energy has become the consensus of the international community. Becauseof the Clean non-polluting sustainable wind, wind power has been a rapid developmentof wind energy utilization.The wind turbine blade is the core component of the wind turbine, the cost wasaccounted for20%to30%of the entire unit. The blade’s aerodynamic performance isdirectly related to wind energy utilization efficiency, Therefore, the study of the windturbine blade design of China’s wind power development business has a positivemeaning.For the purpose of design2MW wind turbine blade design, the main work carriedout including the following three points:First, Analysis and research the aerodynamic performance of outstanding airfoil.Second, according to the blade design theory to calculate the chord lengthdistribution and the torsion angle distribution, and then in the direction of the bladelength at different locations (30%,60%,90%) choose a different airfoil. Calculate thetransition airfoil using polynomial fitting in other locations, and then use UG toconstruct the blade mold.Third, on the basis of the above work, using the geometric parameters in the UGModeling blade at different cross sections, calculated preliminary the aerodynamicperformance of blade.
