With the increasing of China’s energy shortage, building energy and wall reform policiesare being vigorously pushed, so it is imperative that a new kind wall insulation material whichis a collection of the safety of the structure, heat preservation and heat insulation and wasteutilization is opened up. And PZH steel slag as a kind of industrial waste residue, itsemissions are far more than the utilization with the development of steel industry, a largenumber of stockpiling not only take the land resources also cause to the environment pollution,it must explore new utilization way or go the way of diversification to solve properly thecomprehensive utilization of high slag. On the ground at home and abroad, many studies aremade on high slag as a concrete admixtures, and it has many good economic benefit, but it isrelatively less on the coarse aggregate for concrete, and the main focus is its mechanicalperformance, so far, There is no study of the insulation properties of slag concrete. In thiscontext, the study of insulation properties of slag concrete has an important social, economic,environmental and academic significance.This paper first have validating analysis on physical properties and basic structurestability of PZH steel slag weight aggregate, second according to trial with slag concrete, amix design method for the pre-absorbent is put forward for the higher rate of slag, on the basis,mechanical properties, insulation properties, bond behavior of reinforcement of slag concreteare studied, and conducting comparative analysis between ordinary gravel concrete and slagconcrete in the same conditions. The results of the study show that slag concrete cubecompressive strength, splitting tensile strength, the axial compressive strength, bond strengthare higher than ordinary concrete, the thermal conductivity is lower than ordinary concrete.
