With the increasing focus on the ship machine propeller matching, the performance andreliability of the main power system in shipbuilding industry, the marine torque meters are moreand more equipped on the all kinds of ships, to monitor the torque parameter of the main powersystem.The test of the crankshaft power on Marine diesel engine can not only define the techniquestatus of the diesel engine, but also the matching of the ship, engine and quant on the whole ship,which is an important step in the prototype testing. Crankshaft power is usually measuredindirectly through torque output and the speed of crank shaft, and that’s why crankshaft torquechecking of the diesel is so important. The measurement of the marine diesel engine crankshafttorque is different from that on land, because on the ship, with higher temperature and humidityand worse working environment, marine diesel engine crankshaft torque measure systemrequires higher stability and reliability. Based on this, this discussion will focus on the followingtopics:First, further study the existing torque checking methods; compare different torque checkingmethods of the marine diesel crankshaft checking system; choose strain gauge ultimately as thesensor part of torque test model, and design strain test model according to its operationalprinciple.Second, to enhance the stability and reliability of the diesel engine crankshaft in the badworking environment, study multiple power supplying modes, such as photovoltaic power supply,radio frequency power supply and rotary induction power supply. By comparing them, this partwill explain why choose resonant type contactless power supply ultimately. Also in this part,there will be discussions about the creation of resonant type contactless power supply mode, theresonant converter designing of electric energy transmitting loop and also this part put forwardthe solution to raise the power density, design the rotating array coupled antenna of non-contactpower supply system and verify its working reliability.Finally, for the torque data transmission, choose mature ZigBee technology, make thewireless data transmission module of torque with FreeScale’s highly integrity chip MC13213.Make ZigBee antenna considering many factors such as radiation model, gaining, impedancematching, bandwidth and size. This subject applies strain Electric measurement technology, Resonant type contactlesspower transmission technology and ZigBee wireless data transmission, avoid friction betweenPower collecting ring and brush efficiently, solve the instability of power supplying in dynamictest and the signal transmission interference. While enhance the working reliability, this systemreduces its complication, and can solve many parameter testing problems under multipleenvironment with the prototype system. With the study of all technologies in this subject, theoutcome can be served in agriculture, transportation, Military industry, etc.
