With the progress of science and technology and the continuous improvement of people’s living standard, the indoor environment requirements of human beings are improved increasingly. The research of indoor thermal environment has always received much concern of scholars for it has great influence on people’s production and life. In winter, the temperature of the indoor solid wall is so low that cause cold radiation effects which reduce the thermal comfort of indoor thermal environment. For this, the domestic and overseas scholars mainly focus on using radiation panel to radiate heating to improve the indoor thermal environment, but the cold radiation characteristics of cold surface has not been studied. Taking these as research background, this paper studies on the cold radiation characteristics of floor in depth, try to find the method to ease the cold radiation effects of floor from mechanism, in order to improve the thermal comfort of indoor thermal environment.Predecessors research achievements are summarized in this paper first, and then the present situation of the indoor thermal environment in hot summer and cold winter zone, the thermal environment influence on people’s production and life are introduced briefly, and the research background of this paper is analyzed, which have promulgated the significance of this paper.In this paper, the indoor thermal environment under natural conditions were tested, the characteristics of thermal environment in hot summer and cold winter zone were analyzed, and the cold radiation characteristics of floor were studied by theoretical and numerical simulation methods. The method of numerical simulation is adopted in this paper. The simulation physical model is created firstly by using the software of GAMBIT, hexahedron cells are used to partition the calculation region to generate the grids. And then the software of FLUENT is used to simulate. Three situations which contain12cases are simulated in this paper. The simulation results showed that:it is feasible that the temperature of floor rises to ease the cold radiation effects through radiation heat transfer between the roof and the floor; and to increase the temperature of roof is helpful for the temperature of floor to rise. The cold radiation effects of floor have great influence on the temperature and velocity distribution of indoor air, especially the air near the floor, which impacts the thermal comfort of indoor persons, especially the heat feeling of foot. The relationship of enclosure structures is interrelated, interaction, and all of them take part in the thermal environment of indoor. The cold radiation effects can be eased from its source by using the material which insulation is good, so as to save energy. In the same condition, the temperature of floor will rise more easily with the radiation heat transfer method than with the convection heat transfer method.The result will provide some basis for seeking methods to ease the cold radiation effects of floor and thermotechnical design of enclosure structures. In order to further study on the cold radiation characteristics of floor, it is also necessary to establish a new model and introduce more factors, including the arrangement of indoor furniture, the distribution of indoor persons, labor intensity of persons, etc.
