This thesis takes the Similar Rhombic Vehicle as the research object, establishesthe Similar Rhombic Vehicle’s suspension model by using the virtual prototypesoftware ADAMS/Car module, and analyzes the characteristics of suspension’sK&C(Kinematics&Compliance). Using the ADAMS/View module to build the vehiclesimulation model, and the handling stability is studied.Firstly,based on the Similar Rhombic Vehicle, this thesis analyzed the guidingmechanism arrangement of the middle double wishbone suspension, and established abetter plan.In the paper, the design of the suspension leaf spring and stiffnesscalculation are realized. The outcomes met the requirements of vehicle handlingstability and ride comfort. The suspension model is constrcted based on ADAMS/Carmodule platform, then the analysis of K&C characteristics is realized.Then, the paper analyzes the vehicle’s steering theory, and do the kingpininclination angle matching analysis, determining the front&rear suspension’s kingpininclination angle matching scheme that meet the vehicle straight driving stability andreturnability. Taking ADAMS/View module as a platform, the paper establishes theSimilar Rhombic Vehicle’s suspension model and its steering system model. Based onthe satisfaction of rhombus front&rear wheel steering synchronous, the paper combinethe finite rotational tensor theory, sensitivity analysis method and multi-island geneticalgorithm, optimize the steering driving mechanism. On the same platform, the paperestablished the Similar Rhombus Vehicle simulation model and proved it right at thenext section.In addition,according to the test method for the handling stability, the paper dosimulation of the Similar Rhombus Vehicle in steady state steering test, serpentinetest, steering wheel angle step input test and steering wheel angle pulse input test. Theresults show that Similar Rhombus Vehicle’s handling stability is as good as thegeneral car. In this thesis, the factors that affect the Similar Rhombus Vehicle’shandling stability are also studied, and some improving opinions are put forward.
