Wind damage is one of the disaster of natural disasters, how to calculate windeffect on the buildings is one of the hot issues in the both the theory and engineeringdomains. Heliostat is a kind of reflector tracking the sun on support of steel structureby regulating its azimuth and elevation in real time. When heliostat works, thesunlight reaching the lens must be guaranteed to always reflect to the target accurately.Starts from the tower system solar energy power plant establishment, the wind actioncaused by atmospheric flow will influences effect of light collecting. Heliostat is alsoeasy to be destroyed when work under strong wind. So it’s necessary to studyKHOLRVWDW’s surface wind load, and to ensure the wind resistance and stability ofheliostat when work under a certain wind speed. Especially for a heliostat groupwhich is constitutes by a lot of the numbers of heliostat, must to consider theinterference effect between adjacent heliostats. This paper mainly numerically simulated seven kinds of typical workingconditions consist of more than a heliostat, to obtain wind pressure distribution of thetest mirror and interference effect of KHOLRVWDW JURXS’s wind field was investigatedthrough numerical simulation. The principal theories and calculation methods on thecomputational wind engineering are summarized at first. And numerically simulatedthe flow-field of a heliostat by FLUENT which is an analysis software ofcomputational fluid dynamic, obtained wind pressure distribution and thecharacteristics of wind environment. Comparisons between the numerical simulationand the wind tunnel test are presented in detail, then described the reasons leading tothe differences. So the method of numerical simulation is reliable. Based on this, setup a method of simulating the interference effect, and synthesize the numericalsimulation result of a heliostat to obtain the interference effect characteristics.
