The steel bridge has many advantages such as large span,strong torsional stiffness,high intensity,light dead weight,prefabricate and machining conveniently, short construction period,good integrity,succinct and beautiful appearance, small effect to external environment.Compared with concrete bridge,it can decrease self-weight,get greater net height under the bridge.With the development of the transportation,steel bridge are widely used in bridge construction.Fabrication and installation of steel box beam are the key technology to steel bridge construction.The welding fabrication technology,construction control, construction technique of falsework,transport hoisting of steel box beam directly related to the steel bridge project and engineering quality.Therefore,the research on fabrication and erection of the steel box beam of technology research has the very vital significance.Fabrication and installation technology of steel box beam is regarded as the study object in this paper.The engineering background is Steel and concrete composite beams of Cross jiaozhou bay highway. Based on the above condition, expatiates the construction technique of falsework and production installation of steel box beam.A series of work were done to check temporary pier, lifting lug,ground foundation,and individual beam section.The results of this paper is practical valuable to promote the theorization and generalization of fabrication and installation technologies of box beam.The construction experience also can provide references for bridges of the same type in the future.
