| Since nineteen eighties, as the domestic housing distribution system was reforming,impelled by the pushing power from market economy, the concept of commercial housing hasexisted. While pre-sale housing sale mode was generally used in China, emerging as thetimes’ requirement, sales office appeared. For the great demand of dwelling houses in China,the construction of sale office would last for a quite long time.Combining developer, estate agent, advertising company and architect, the core functionof sales office is showing and selling the residential buildings, in order to bring a largeeconomic income to the developers. Therefore, critical problem in this essay is to find a waythat could help housing sale through the architecture design of sales office.The city of Guangzhou, one of the most important metropolis in China, sales offices here,in some extent, represent an advanced level of design in domestic architecture field. In thisessay, based on the field research in Guangzhou and lots of other related information, theauthor studies on, expecting to share experience for further design.Composed of six chapters, this essay could be divided into four parts.The first part is Chapter1, which tells background, reviews on related studies and gives adefinition of sales office.The second part is Chapter2. In this chapter, readers would see the history of salesoffice, including its original form and development. Moreover, with information from fieldresearch in Guangzhou, the current situation of sales office is also discussed.The third part, composed of Chapter3, Chapter4and Chapter5, comprehensivelyanalyses the architecture design of sales office in Guangzhou, which plays a very importantrole in this essay. Locations, modes of layout, circulation of master plan are discussed inChapter3, while Chapter4tells the specific functions and zones of interior space in salesoffice. Studying on the appearance of sales office, Chapter5brings several processingmethods of entrance and elevation design.Chapter6, the forth part, is the last one.
