| Centrifugal compressor is the important device in the industry department such as metallurgy, petrochemicals, natural gas transportation, refrigeration etc. It has many advantages compared with other compressors. But is also has some insurmountable shortcomings such as unsuitable in low flow field, narrow steady operating area, easy surge etc. It is most happened that minor deviation leads to considerable damage. The accident usually happened in such a quick and violent way that manual handling can not manage at all. With the development of Computer Controlling Technology, it is urgent to improve the control methods of centrifugal Compressor, increase its control character.The article comes from the raw gas compressor control system of Nor1-2Natural Gas Processing Plant. Through the comparison of the various aspects of centrifugal compressors and reciprocating compressors, determine the use of centrifugal compressors. The paper analyzes the work theory, performance curve and process characteristics of the centrifugal compressor. After that it talks about the composing theory and function design of the compressor control system, especially discusses the phenomena, theory and protection method of the surge. Variant limit flow is adopted to design a compressor anti-surge controller. Compared with traditional method, this control method can more swiftly and efficiently perform anti surge.Architecture design of control system and proposes a comprehensive control. This new strategy gives overall consideration in the likely-happening factors during operation, not only makes efficient use of energy recourses, but improving the effect of anti surge. Operation and monitor process based on InTouch10.0is developed. It includes List Page, Alarm Page, Trip Page, Technics Page and Start Page. The whole control system has fast respond speed, good precision, friendly operator interface and easy to maintain and upgrade. Anti-surge control strategy is more reasonable than before and it effectively reduces the energy consumption. Definitely, the control system has a perfect future for practical industrial application. |
