Earthquake damages in Wenchuan earthquake, Yushu earthquake and Japan311earthquake shows that it is necessary to build steel structure teaching building and improve seismic capacity in high intensity area, which relate to the earthquake relief and recovery work. With the safety engineering of elementary and middle schools buildings in Yunnan province, the thesis focus on the design and structure system optimization selection of steel structure teaching building. The following is the concrete work.Firstly, the paper bases on a actual project of the safety engineering of schools buildings in Yunnan province. Considering different requirements for seismic resistance, to establish and analyze models of frame structure and frame-support structure of steel structure teaching building. Based on the results, the paper compares the safety performance, stiffness, seismic performance and steel consumption of different structure systems under different conditions, as well as the performances of different brace members in a variety of systems.Secondly, it focuses on main influencing factors of the structure system optimization of steel structure teaching building, including structure performance, cost of construction, technical problems and so on. Reference to the existing papers on structure optimization methods, ultimately establish the optimization model by AH P.For the end, it provides a basis for the structural design and selection of steel structure teaching building, as well as a reference suggestion on support position layout, components selection and so on...
