Traditional engine car made enormous contribution for the development of the human society, but its future development will be restricted by the energy shortage and environmental pollution problems, so the development of energy saving and environmental protection new energy vehicles has become the consensus of all over the world. Pure electric vehicle, due to its high energy utilization ratio, low noise and comfortable will be the most ideal, the most promising green traffic tools.Power train system is the core and the key of pure electric vehicles, which determines power performance and economy performance of the pure electric vehicles, and even determines the development foreground of pure electric vehicle. Therefore, it is crucial to rational design power train system. Pure electric vehicle drive system, which includes the battery, motor, transmission, should select a reasonable method to design and match the types and parameters of its key components, to make the power train system components can be well coordinated work, to meet the pure electric vehicle power performance and economy performance, and improve comfort performance, ensure the vehicle safety.The key components of pure electric vehicle power train system was theoretically researched, the types, parameters and layout the key components such as power battery, motor, drive train components were determined and design. The simulation model of the pure electric vehicle was established by the software of ADVISOR, and the pure electric vehicle power performance simulation and analysis were carried out, and the power performance was tested according to the pure electric vehicle power performance test. The results of simulation and test result error is less than5%, and both the result meet design requirements of the pure electric vehicle power performance, thus validating the power drive system design method is correct and simulation model is accurate.
