Screw centrifugal pump blades are unsuitable design will not only affect thehydrodynamic characteristics of the impeller, but also exacerbate the wear of theworking medium of solid particles on the blades, making the life of the impellergreatly shortened, reducing the efficiency and reliability of the pump. According tothe characteristics of the fluid flow movement of the screw centrifugal pump, toestablish a mathematical model as the vane profile model that represent the motiontrails of the fluid flow particles of the pump in ideal state, use MATLAB to solve themathematical model, generate impeller flange、hub hull lines data, import these datainto PRO/E, then construct the impeller through the modeling tools. Using this newmethod to draw the screw centrifugal pump blade, to avoid the hand-drawing in thetraditional design method complexity and reduce dependence on experience toimprove computer-aided design applications in the screw centrifugal pump designprocess. Deepening computer-aided design applications in the screw centrifugal pumpdesign.To verify the equation of vane profile feasibility, in this paper the model pumpdesign parameters are the same of150×100LN-32screw centrifugal pump designparameters and some geometrical parameters. Design process shows that the methodproposed in this paper is simpler, more efficient, and greatly reduced design personnelin the design spiral in the process of centrifugal pump working strength than thetraditional design method. This paper designed two kinds of blade which have thesame shape but the wheel head one is flat head type and the other is Dome,in order tofind the differences between the two blades performances to improve the screwcentrifugal pump, in clear water medium, use the turbulent Reynolds equation,standard k-ε turbulent model, with FLUENT software for the tool, numericalcalculation to the two models A and B with the two different impellers respectivelyunder different conditions, get the characteristic curves of two models. The resultsshow that, in the design condition, the efficiency of model A and B designed by thenew method is8.3%and9.28%higher than the prototype, and the head is0.56m and0.36m higher. Through to the numerical simulation of model of A and B verified thatthe new method to design the screw centrifulgal pump in this paper is feasible. For screw centrifugal pump which Transportate liquid-solid two-phase flowmedia, in order to get the closer outside characteristics curve to the real working stateof the Screw centrifugal pump, get model B solid-liquid two-phase flow medium innumerical simulation. The simulation results show that the medium solid-liquidtwo-phase flow, the model of the overall efficiency and head, B is better than watermedium environment declined slightly, the power curve is higher than the whole watermedium power curve. Analysis suggested that this was due to solid-liquid two-phaseflow medium solid medium flow pump fluid density and solid medium flow to theinfluence of the flow field in the hydraulic losses caused by the increase.
