Rotor pump is one kind of rotary displacement pump and widely used in chemistryengineering, oil industry, medicines and so on. Rotor pump’s extensive usage is verified by itsoverwhelming advantages, such as simple working principle, small volume, low cost, safesealing and free from pollution. Rotor pump can replace screw pump and centrifugal pump incertain fields. With people’s developing understanding of rotor pump, application of it hasbeen intensified. What’s more, advantages in recent design and analysis software providesolid foundation for the research and production of rotor pump. This thesis focuses on therotor design and parameterization of rotor pump.Domestic theory study on rotor pump is relatively late, and accumulates littledocumentation for the research conducted in this thesis. This paper selects cycloid andcircular curve rotor to analyze theoretically, on the basis of which to generate theoretical andpractical mold line with the guidance of cure forming principle and conjugate principle. Inthis process, the utilization coefficient of areas in different mold lines can also be concluded.Apply MATLAB software to write practical mold line program in the aim of realizingparameterization in rotor design. Then, process the data generated above in EXCEL to drawrotor blueprint with AutoCAD. With conversion of data, rotor belonging to different series canbe designed, which shorten the design cycle. Additionally, with the help of CNC and FMC,the rotor can be produced precisely.Employ SolidWorks to design and assemble the accessories parts of rotor pump, and therotor pump prototype can be got. Conduct motion simulation of rotor pump prototype inCOSMOSMotion. The results show that no interference exist in motion and the rotor designapproach applied in this thesis is reasonable.
