Abstract:Accompanied by the development of society and economy, water is playinga dispensable role in daily life and kinds of professions. But the scale as by-productsbrings us a lot of loss and damage. In china, the loss caused by the scaling of heatexchangers’ low efficiency up to10billion yuan. Besides, scale decreases thecross-sectional area of pipes, which reduces the flow and efficiency of transmittingmedium. Moreover, scale will perforate pipes and lead to destructive accidents. So,it’s particularly important to develop descaling in depth.Traditional cleaning methods including chemical, mechanical and pipe mobiledescaling are playing a certain effect. But at the same time, there are also have somedisadvantages themselves. For example, the complicated system, high cost, seriouspollution, limited application and so on. The mechanical descaling even will damagethe pipes because of over-cleaning. This article directs at the disadvantages oftraditional cleaning and connects with the advantages of electromagnetic anti-scalingtechnology, on the basis of the study of principles of scaling and electromagneticanti-scaling, using venturi oscillation, signal amplitude modulation, D class poweramplifier and electromagnetic conversion components to design an electromagneticanti-scaling system based on the changing electromagnetic field.By using the electromagnetic descaling system, we research the electricalconductivity change of distilled water, tap water and homemade hard water accordingto electromagnetic filed works or not in static testing, which could judge the effect ofanti-scaling to a certain degree. Also, we get a group of best parameters ofelectromagnetic strength and frequency from the experiments for homemade hardwater. In addition, comparing the four driving waveforms’ influence degree to theelectrical conductivity of experimental water.Setting up a circulating water system for dynamic testing. Adapting the bestparameter values of electromagnetic filed from static testing. We can analyze theanti-scaling effect comprehensively through the methods of comparing scaling weight,coordinate titration and observing scale crystal by digital microscope.The research shows the developmental electromagnetic anti-scaling equipment can increase the solubility of scale material (calcium carbonate) more degree in thewater. The descaling effect is changing with the change of electromagnetic strengthand carrier frequency when no matter with the modulation frequency. The removalrate could reach55%-65%in the best electromagnetic parameters. Through the digitalmicroscope, we find the scale crystal is more likely to be a needle shape than itsoriginal arris shape after the influence of electromagnetic field, which makes the scaleattaches on the pipeline hard.In a word, the modulated electromagnetic field really plays a certain effect foranti-scaling. In the future for the further research of electromagnetic anti-scaling, wecould grope towards the essential principles of anti-scaling, a wide range ofelectromagnetic parameters experiments and the amplitude modulation combined withfrequency conversion technology.
