Class D amplifier has the advantage of efficient, energy-saving, small size,it is widelyused in portable products. The traditional underwater sonar transmitters have shortcomings oflow efficiency, low power, narrow bandwidth, simple and easily damaged, In order to meetmodern Underwater Acoustic a portable underwater communication equipment requirementsof small size and high efficiency, the paper design a broadband, high-power, small size of theclass-D sonar signal transmitter. Pulse width modulation (PWM) Class D power amplifierstructure as the core, through theoretical analysis to design the functional modules of systembased on discrete components. Specifically discusses the various modules of the systemworks and design points, Design and simulation of the power amplifier modules, Include thegain control of the input signal, detected carrier signal, the PWM pulse width modulation, thedead zone control, the drive circuit, the power output stage circuit, etc. Occurred and thepower of the carrier signal output circuit is a key part of the design the experimentaldemonstration of the different programs and the carrier signal generator designed with goodperformance. PWM drive signal control constituted by the MOSFET half-bridge push-pullconfiguration to the power output. LC series tuned matched filtering and pulse transformer. The transmitter can stabilize within the range of the working frequency bandwidth of200kHz. The transmitter can be used in portable underwater acoustic communicationsequipment, prominent contemporary sonar transmitter design of intelligent miniaturization.Power amplifier output by the LC low pass filter circuit signal is transmitted to the transducer, while completing the match between the impedance of the power amplifier output impedancetransducer, to achieve a certain bandwidth of the signal tuning. Experimental results show thatplus LC low-pass filter output is better. The entire system meets the design requirements.
