A Study And Development On Network Teaching System For Plane Linkage Mechanism Based On PRO/E

Rapid development of computer and network technology has gradually changed the traditional face-to-face teaching method. Network teaching mode based on internet, has the characteristics of good interaction and not limited by the spatial and temporal. It can achieve the sharing of teaching resource, meet the needs of people to study at anytime and anywhere. Planar linkage is widely used in our daily life, the simulation and analysis on it are the emphases and difficulties in the Principle of Machinery teaching. Although schematic diagram of mechanism with lines on traditional teaching mode could do mechanism simulation, it is lack of three dimensions realistic and the precision of analysis results is not high. Pro/E is a three dimensional software which is highly integrated CAD/CAM/CAE; it has powerful function in three-dimensional modeling, analysis and simulation. Therefore, to develop a network teaching system of planar linkage based on Pro/E system has strong value and practical significance.The article is research for planar linkage. In this paper, which is based on the study of other researchers, analyses related research at home and abroad, researches and develops the network teaching system of planar linkage based on Pro/E system. The system mainly realizes planar linkage three-dimensional parametric modeling, interference checking, automatic assembly, motion simulation capabilities and other functions which is used Pro/E under network environment. It has the characteristics of convenience, interaction and image, achieves the greatest resources sharing.The article makes the Pro/E software as a platform,uses pro/toolkit toolbox and network technology, surrounding Pro/E remote operations, setting up the database system, interaction of graphics files and server do manage on institution models, to do technology research. The main research contents are as follows:1. It analyses the needs for the function of network teaching system, sets up three-layer network system which is based on B/S mood.2. It Researches on establishment of Web database system and maintenance problems, creates Web databases with Access, achieves effective management of the design parameters and the user information. 3. It researches and analyses the COM components and Active X component technology, solves the network data communication between the server and Pro/E system, realizes the Pro/E system remote operation.4. It researches Pro/E secondary development technology in-depth, uses Pro/toolkit toolbox to develop each function of network teaching system, realizing automated assembly.
