Since the founding of new China, our country has built a lot of embankment dam hydropower project. Embankment dam with low cost, simple structure, strong environmental adaptability, good shock resistance, reliable work state, long service life and low construction difficulty, and therefore can be widely adopted. However, the disasters such as landslide seepage failure has plagued many of earth rockfill dam safety operation. So for earth rock dam seepage monitoring and the results analysis is essential.This combination of an embankment dam project construction data and finite element analysis of seepage theory, mainly to complete the following:(1) The operation period of earth-rock dam seepage monitoring project of the significance and design ideas, monitoring methods and monitoring system are introduced.(2) Using the traditional method combined with the actual engineering monitoring data from the data processing, statistical regression, analysis of the project. Including the dam, dam saturation line of pore water pressure and seepage flow analysis of the project, some preliminary conclusions are drawn.(3) On the basis of previous research results, the characteristics of unsaturated soil seepage, seepage calculation mathematical model and the use of finite element method to calculate the earth dam seepage flow method, a selection unit conducting matrix adjustment method.(4) MIDAS/GTS geotechnical professional general structural analysis and optimization design for the platform of the project system, modeling, and the seepage finite element numerical simulation. The results show that, the measured data and the finite element simulation results are close to the deviation of the overall, the data is generally because the monitoring instrument reading is not accurate, structural weakness, prompting project management personnel undertake corresponding modification and processing.Traditional algebraic methods of statistical analysis can only be based on monitoring data variation principle of monitoring data are screened, and not pointed structure reasonable value, using MIDAS/GTS finite element analysis software to obtain the theoretical value can be used to compensate for this deficiency, indicating that the software in the simulation of seepage field has a certain practicality.
