Until now, as the developing of building water supply and drainage engineering, it hasbecome a relatively independent engineering discipline which covered more ranges of contentand more complicated systems. How to make the optimization design for building watersupply and drainage engineering,is the issue that designers often face. At present, regardingthe optimization of building water supply and drainage engineering, we usually rely on ourexperience but our experience is limited. With the economic construction, the emergence ofhuge body, multi-function and high-rise buildings give the new requirements for the buildingwater supply and drainage engineering. This paper is mainly focusing on research in theoptimization design of building water supply and drainage engineering based on the theory ofsystems engineering, and gives general optimization methods.Building water supply and drainage engineering design is a system design. There are notso many documents for optimization design and not so much theory for water supply anddrainage engineering design in this field. The summary of optimization design issues is alsonot common,which is less than the discussion of optimization methods about concretesystems.Firstly, in this paper, we generally discuss the optimization design of water supply anddrainage engineering and provide the Hall three dimensions structure chart. Secondly, wedeeply do research in optimization design of Building water supply and drainage engineeringand summarize the guiding ideology of optimization, appraisal index, and optimizationprocedure base on which we probe into the optimization system design from the angle ofsystem reliability and respectively analyze the optimization design scheme according to thefrequently-used subsystem in the water supply and drainage engineering for inference in orderto choose the best scheme during the design. Finally, we explain the optimization design ofBuilding water supply and drainage engineering combining with project case.
