Study On Design Of Urban Road Intersection

With the increasing of municipal road construction and city development, city road willform a arranged in a crisscross pattern spider Road, City Road intersection is the city roadnetwork node. City Road intersection is the city road system important constituent, is thetraffic throat, so how to make the vehicles, the pedestrian quickly and easily through theintersection, is to improve the city traffic operation efficiency. In the intersection signal lamp,except by means of traffic management on vehicle, pedestrian control, intersectionchannelization design for improved roads and the traffic capacity of the intersection, vehiclespeed, ease traffic congestion, reduce traffic accidents, have great real significance.Extensive practice has proved, through reasonable geometric design of intersectiontraffic control to separate the intersection conflict traffic flow, improving the traffic capacityof the intersection is to improve city traffic safety and efficiency. The intersection capacity ofmining, can make the space more efficient use of resources, largely from improvingintersection operation condition. This paper first on the city road intersection design basicprinciple, the current standard for analysis research; Secondly, put forward intersectionchannelization design process and the need to survey data; Finally, combining my years ofparticipation in and responsible for the multiple city road design project based on engineeringexample, the intersection channelization design are discussed, from the engineering design ofsome of the problems encountered, such as the intersection of broadening and gradient length,U-turn lane, pedestrian crossing facilities layout, attempts to design for some unclear places todo some exploration and study; through analysis and calculation, improve the standard ofintersection design has not yet been clearly, put forward to improve the traffic capacity ofintersection method.This article is from the author’s work to find the problem and research. Research ondesign specifications of some ambiguities were detailed systems analysis, summed up a set ofsystem of intersection traffic design method, for the majority of the city traffic managementanalysis and solve traffic problem by reference, for the city road intersection trafficorganization optimization design reference.
