Abstract/Summary:
The mud pump dams is a new type of dam construction technique which wasdevelopment on the basis of a hydraulic fill dam.Compared with the method of hydraulic filldam, the mud pump dams has the characteristics of low cost、high efficiency、required lowdemand about construction conditions、fast dewatering and consolidation、high safety andstrong practicability.At the same time, the mud pump dams has also bring other developmentof conservational measures, it can built terrace when borrow earth from stock ground; it canincrease the surrounding capacity of the reservoirs if borrow earth near the peripheralreservoirs. Although the dam technology has many advantages, but there are still have someproblems in test, the core problem is dewatering and consolidation of mud. Soil material isheavy opaque loam, the unique properities of soil bring a lot of drainage problems for thedam. Formerly, hydraulic fill dam main reaearch light、loam in opaque, but this informationand experience is very limited, it can never provid useful information and experience for mudpump dams, so it restricted the application and prompotion of hydraulic fill dam and muddam.This paper has Yangling soil as research object, using the conventional test、soilmechanics knowledge、the construction of check dam and relevant theorical knowledge andtechnical standard, and do indoor test by dam earth material and solve analysis by using thestatiscal methods.This paper includes two parts: one is mud drainage experiment; the secondis the selection of test about mud drainage material.Reaearch the earth material in the regionfor dam earth material, under six cases, configure mud with3soil-water ratio, two kinds ofvelocity, simulate practical build dam, using drainage technology of artificial networkmanagement, this article aims at analyzing and screening the optimal material of filter waterpipe or accelerate dehydration consolidation, by measuring the change rule of the physicaland chemical properties to optimize the way of dewatering consolidation of mud.The researchresults enriched and developed the technology of damming with mud, and it has greatsignificance for the popularization and application of technology of damming with mud andsoil and water conservation. In this paper, the main research results are obtained as follows:The soil test results show the soil type is heavy opaque loam. The test results showedthat earth material size distribution inequality with good level, the soils for mud dams isfeasible.The regular patter between soil-water ratio、filling velocity and lateral displacement、infiltration showed that: the displacement all comply with the height of mud first increasethen decrease; The regular patter of soil-water ratio、filling velocity and moisture content iswith the height of mud the moisture content increases by degrees, but the change was modest.The regular patter of soil-water ratio、filling velocity and wet density showed that wetdensity all increases with decreasing the height of mud;The regular patter of soil-water ratio、filling velocity and subsidence state showed that: two kinds of subsidence state (everydaysubsidence and the next day subdience) with the varience of height of filling mud, the regularpatter show that first increase then decrease, all meet quadratic curve equation.The regular patter of soil-water ratio、filling velocity and shear strength showed that:shear strength with grouting change rules are highly exponentially decreasing;The regularpatter of soil-water ratio、filling velocity and permeability coefficient showed that: itsvarience law of all increase exponentially.Analysis the test data with main effect and multiple comparison, finally get the betterfilther water material is the geotextile, a better drainage and consolidation soil-water rationand filling velocity were3and30cm/d, an ideal dewatering and consolidation of mud is addnetwork drainage system with certain density, and package pipeline with geotextile in orderto filter water, we should also consider the method of mud with sand to promote drainage onthe premise of saving cost.
